Ramayana is a Sanskrit epic poem written by the Hindu poet Valmiki. The Ramayana tells the story of Prince Rama and his heroics as he fulfills his father's wish to rid the kingdom of Dandaka of its evil demon king Ravana. Along his adventures, Rama battles various adversaries and acquires a wife Sita from society's untouchables as well as allies such as Hanuman, an ascetic monk who joins him on his quest. As one of India's great epics, the Ramayana has had an enormous influence on Indian culture and thought which is perceptible, for example, in Hindu religious practices such as temple architecture and sculpture. Also, in many Hindu households, performances of the Ramayana are enacted by story tellers called bards or reciters. These performances generally last all night. Some regional television channels in India regularly telecast such Ramayanas, and one such channel is Doordarshan which broadcasts the famous Ram Leela - an enactment of the entire epic.The movie is a complete movie and has every aspect that we can expect out of a movie. The sound track and background score were very good and complimented the scenes and situations of the movie. The actors also did a great job playing their roles and without their contribution to the movie it would never had been as popular as it was today. The plot was very strong and full of suspense. The climax of the movie was well plotted out, building all the way to the end, where the main villain Ravan is killed by Lord Rama. Overall this is a fantastic action film with lots of interesting history behind it. All in all I would recommend watching this film because it has suspense, romance, drama and basically everything that you would expect out of a good movie.
